Some History
Milan was founded around 400 BC by the Insubri Gauls, a Celtic tribe that settled along the banks of the river Po. In 196 B.C. it was occupied by the Romans, who named it Mediolanum because of its geographical position, strategic for trade routes and to hinder barbarian invasions. Around the 3rd century, Mediolanum became the capital of the Roman Empire.
By the 12th century, Milan was a major economic center. At this time, guilds were created and, in 1198, the mighty ‘Credenza di Sant'Ambrogio’ was born.

Take bus 73 direction Duomo + Tram 9 direction Porta Genova and get off on Viale Bligny, opposite the hotel.
From Malpensa Airport (52 Km)
Take the Malpensa Shuttle bus to Cadorna Station, then take the M2 green metro line towards Abbiategrasso or Assago Forum to Porta Genova station and from there take tram 9 towards Stazione Centrale to Viale Bligny, stop in front of the hotel.
From Orio al Serio Airport (45 Km)
Take the Orio Shuttle bus to Stazione Centrale. Take the yellow metro M3 in the direction of San Donato for 10 stops and get off at Porta Romana. From here continue on foot or take tram 9 in the direction of Porta Genova and get off at Viale Bligny, opposite the hotel.
